Welcome to Richland Center Intermediate School!
As a 3rd through 6th grade building, we are given the unique opportunity in providing students the opportunities to build on their academic and social skills. The goal is to lead them in growing these skills by providing them opportunities to explore and reflect during these years. I am truly privileged in being the principal of this building and watching students shape their futures. As a staff, it is our goal to help students continue to understand these 4 basic principles and learn more about the Hornet Way!
-
Be Respectful
-
Be Responsible
-
Be Safe
-
Be a Friend
Our staff is also committed in providing each and every student a safe, caring, and challenging environment which promotes learning and achievement for all students! We provide these opportunities through academic and behavioral support programs in classrooms using RtI (Response to Intervention), Title 1 with academic support in Reading and Math, along with our Special Education team which guides students based on their IEP needs. All our students are enrolled in Music, Physical Education, Art, Music, Library, and Guidance, which allows children to explore and develop other sets of skills.
We welcome families, community members, and area businesses to partner with us and visit our building! In working together, we will enrich our student’s education experience and allow students to understand the value of connections. These children are our future and with your help, we can set them up for a bright future.
Sincerely,
Lisa Brown
